The Modern Day Agbada Trend

Growing up, the customary clothing known as agbada was generally worn by "big men". At occasions back then, you see men arriving the venue, hurling the piece of clothing over their shoulders and strolling gloriously. It was quite often certain that these men would shower a considerable measure of naira notes in that event. Yes, that was the impression that an agbada wearing man emitted.

The Agbada is related to the Dashiki and historically, the Agbada derives
its roots from Islam. A complete Agbada consists of the trousers, the
long sleeved shelve and open stitch sleeveless gown.

Agbada was once in a while worn by young fellows in the past. I genuinely question any young fellow, ten years back, would have eagerly worn agbada only for being stylish....correct me in case i'm off-base.

Quick forward to the present, agbada is no more just for the big daddies, we now see young fellows (and even ladies) shaking the agbada in a modernized manner; where the old school agbada is worn over since quite a while ago sleeved buba (tunic), nowadays, they are worn over short sleeved buba. Where the old school agbada is long, to a great degree wide and wing-like, nowadays they come in shorter lengths and widths and are unquestionably not as substantial as the old school sort. I'm absolutely infatuated with the altered variant of the agbada and I cherish the way that young fellows are grasping it and shaking it well.

It is safe to say that you are with me on this one? Do you adore the "agbada for the modern man" as much as I do? I know you do! Let me know what you adore about it.
